Sao Paolo? & James Corner

Looking into flights to Santiago, I came upon a great deal with a one-day layover in Sao Paolo.  I would need a $100 visa to enter Brazil, but since the savings in airfare are roughly $250 it still pans out.  Looking into Brazilian architecture - I think the best way to see a city in one day is to roam its streets and see some of its cherished structures - (http://www.thecoolist.com/brazilian-architecture-10-breathtaking-modern-monuments/)
I was reminded of course of Oscar Niemeyer,
(check out architectural photographer Leonardo Finotti http://leonardofinotti.com/projects/filter/country/brazil)

I also learned about a Roberto Burle Marx (a landscape architect)
and that reminded me of James Corner (the guy who designed the High Line in New York).

Role Models?

Recently I've had the opportunity of encountering (online and otherwise) likenesses of my possible future self; answers to the question Who will I be in five, ten, xxx years?

Perhaps the mere act of asking myself these questions encourages me to seek out or at least see the awesome people ans stories I encounter as possible avatars of myself in the future.  Or maybe I'm just on an awesome encounters streak...but here they are:

J & B Manor - a couple I met at Garrett's superbowl viewing (the word party might be misleading here)
Justin's work is amazing and inspiring and exactly all he wants to do - I don't know really, but he came across this way.  I'd like to get to the point where my work day in and day out is doing what I'm excited about.  He's super creative and innovative and applies his ingenuity to his passions...like mixing music and progamming and video and partying (i think becoming a dj presupposes enjoying partying).  He's married to another awesome person who lives her passions.  They've got a kid that they are raising in a manner that I can only describe as relieving...in the sense that they're taking it seriously and not sweating all the small uncontrollable stuff but also doing everything they can to give the kid a leg up on life...introducing it to purposeful living and defining your own destiny...things it's taken me too much of my adult life to figure out (not done yet).  Anyway, here is a link to Justin's webpage where he's listed some of his awesome work:

On the other side of life and living and defining happiness, lie the Dangerz. 'hope to run into them once they make it to the chile side of panamerican highway.
